To Make Good Compression Wears with Moderate Pressure- Crimson Publishers

To Make Good Compression Wears with Moderate Pressure by Tamaki Mitsuno in Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology Clothing pressure as an index of clothing comfort has been well studied. The pressure applied by clothing has advantages and disadvantages [1]. Compression wear has become popular for controlling body shape and for reducing swelling in daily life. Moderate pressure is needed to achieve a beautiful silhouette while excessive pressure has adverse effects [2]. According to Kikufuji et al. [3] menstrual cycles were significantly delayed by 14 days when participants wore a tight foundation layer of clothing compared with when they wore no foundation layer [3]. Meanwhile, Sugimoto reported an increase in urinary noradrenaline excretion when participants wore a girdle. It is possible that the pressure may cause the alternation of the autonomic nervous system [4]. It is therefore important to pay careful attention to the level, duration and frequency of pressure b...

The Application of Woven Kenaf in Bio- Composite Production- Crimson Publishers

The Application of Woven Kenaf in Bio- Composite Production by Muhammad Taufiq Jumadi in Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology The development of natural fibre-based bio composite is taken as the alternative of using synthetic-fibre based composite. This is due to environmental concern and the depletion of non-renewable resource to produce synthetic fibre. Among those natural fibres that available in market, the woven kenaf fibre has received good attention as to be used for bio composite production due to the readability in some regions especially in Malaysia. In this mini review, the authors would like to address the recent studies on the woven kenaf fibre reinforced thermoset bio composite. Apart from that, the commonly used thermoset for bio composite production also been discussed. The outcome from this paper may highlight the applicability of woven kenaf fibre and increase the interest of researchers to develop their product by using woven kenaf fibre. https:...

Green Apparel Buying Behaviour: Opportunities in Indian Market- Crimson Publishers

Green Apparel Buying Behaviour: Opportunities in Indian Market by Arpita Khar in Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology   This review examines the factors affecting organic clothing purchase behaviour. Review of literature reveals that past green buying behaviour, peer influence, green apparel knowledge were important for consumers. However, several studies posit that awareness about environmental problems does not necessarily translate into green buying. Organic clothing purchase behaviour can be influenced by several factors like green attitudes, self-identity, past experience with green products and social groups.   https://crimsonpublishers.com/tteft/fulltext/TTEFT.000555.php For more open access journals in crimson publishers Please click on link: https://crimsonpublishers.com For more articles on Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology Please click on link: https://crimsonpublishers.com/tteft/

A Comparative Study on Discharge Printing Using Conventional and Ecological Recipe- Crimson Publishers

A Comparative Study on Discharge Printing Using Conventional and Ecological Recipe by Seema HS in Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology Textile printing is an ancient art from the Egyptian tomb era to a modern era, which is one of the most important processes for the manufacturers. Art being a creative pattern of imagination and immense competition and globalization in the textile world, were the key major concern for the manufacturers is from the customer who are mostly looking for eco-friendly products, textile printing has become more dependable on the science than it was. The discharge printing methods is one of the popular techniques used major for its aesthetic attractiveness of the product. Discharge printing has opened the door over past 6-7 years for the mass garment production after developing a dischargeable ink system. Mostly 20-30% of the chemicals are used in one cycle of printing which are hazardous to the environment and some of the chemical met...

Reutilization of Leftovers from Agro-Industries for Textile Applications: A Mini Report- Crimson Publishers

Reutilization of Leftovers from Agro-Industries for Textile Applications: A Mini Report by Binoj JS in Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology In the present scenario, environmental anxieties and human heath are the two major factors concentrated in many engineering sectors. Man-made vitreous fibers and its usage in many diverse applications are exhibiting better properties on one face, whereas on the other turn it sparks a lot of harmful situations to the atmosphere and people involved. Moreover, nowadays due to enactment of governmental laws, extraction of green raw materials and development of green products for many applications without disturbing the nature are under progress. Plant based fibers used in the textile engineering are being extracted by the harvesting of flora, which in turn increases the deforestation and also diminishes the safety factor of the earth in near future. Meanwhile, the animal based fibers being used in the textile engineering are extract...

Engineering of Ramie - A Potential Textile Fibre for the Future- Crimson Publishers

Engineering of Ramie - A Potential Textile Fibre for the Future by SK Dey in Trends in Textile Engineering & Fashion Technology Ramie, one of the oldest textile fibres of plant origin has from time immemorial ruled the textile world as king of natural fibres. Its popularity in the textile world is limited due to the difficulty in degumming and lack of knowledge of mechanical processing. Major natural conventional fibres like cotton, wool, silk and jute are widely used throughout the world. Apart from these, unconventional natural fibres like ramie, pineapple, sisal and hemp are grown in much smaller quantities and have local economic importance. Ramie, a lingo-cellulosic bast fibre obtained by decortication from stem of the plant followed by degumming possesses high α-cellulose and very little lignin. It possesses some advantageous physical and chemical properties while some demerits are encrusting gummy material, cohesiveness. If the apparent demerits can be masked, a diverse ran...
